Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical (Direct Hire)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a Med-Surg RN ready to put down roots? We have multiple permanent, direct hire openings across medical-surgical units at a large, well-respected health system in Fort Wayne, Indiana. These are stable, full-time staff positions — no contract end dates, no agency, no surprises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients recovering from surgery, illness, or acute events

• Perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams

• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards

• Mentor and support new graduate nurses where applicable

• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Indiana RN license (or compact license)

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program

• 1+ year of Med-Surg RN experience preferred; strong new grads considered

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
