Job Title: Registered Nurse – MS/TelemetryLocation: Burlington, VermontFacility: The University of Vermont Medical CenterContract Duration: 13 WeeksStart Date: April 20, 2026Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity general medicine unit. The role involves caring for patients with complex, multi-system conditions, including renal, respiratory, infectious diseases, and geriatric care. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment requiring strong clinical judgment and multitasking abilities.Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms (telemetry)
- Manage patients with acute and chronic multi-system conditions
- Deliver pre/post hemodialysis care
- Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy
- Handle central line care and medication administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
- Respond to emergencies and manage dysrhythmias
- Patient Population
- Adults and Geriatrics
- Patients with complex chronic illnesses and multi-system diagnoses
- Dialysis patients (inpatient)
- Geriatric patients (including dementia and delirium care)
- Infectious disease, respiratory, and wound care patients
- Patients with substance use disorders and alcohol withdrawal
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry experience
- Experience in a large teaching hospital
- Active RN License (pending accepted case-by-case)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- NIHSS Certification – Required prior to start
- Recent EPIC EMR experience (within last 12 months) – Mandatory
- Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
