Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Middletown, RIFacility: Grand Islander CenterPosition Type: Full-Time | Local Candidates Only

Contract Length: 5 Weeks

Pay

$45 – $47 per hour40 Hours GuaranteedOvertime Available

Schedule

Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekly Schedule:
- 2 x 16-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 1 x 8-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Total: 40 hours per week guaranteed

Local candidates onlyCandidates must reside within 70 miles of the facility.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the clinical team at Grand Islander Center in Middletown, RI. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to residents in a long-term care environment
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed
Monitor and assess residents' conditions and report changes promptly
Maintain accurate documentation and medical records
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Supervise LPNs and CNAs and delegate tasks appropriately
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Provide patient and family education regarding care plans

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Rhode IslandMinimum 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) experienceBLS Certification (Basic Life Support)ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
