IMC is currently looking to hire a Registered Nurse in our Surgery Department, on a full-time basis. A qualified candidate must be able to apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients effectively.  Interact with patient, significant others, and other heath team members.  Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of state approved School of Nursing.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current licenses as a RN in the state of Louisiana.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

SCHEDULE:

• Full Time Schedule (36-40 hours/week)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.

• Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.
• Assesses, collaborates and coordinates in planning of patient's discharge needs and readiness for discharge.

• Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
