Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and protocols.

• Document all procedures, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR.

• Meet or exceed individual performance targets and contribute to territory/functional metrics.

• Adhere to infection control standards and workplace safety protocols at all times.

• Assess and document patient airway status, progress, and response to therapy.

• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure safety compliance.

• Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Identify and escalate high-risk cases to the supervising clinician promptly.

• Participate in daily huddles and maintain visibility of work activities and outcomes.

• Collaborate with care teams to develop and update care plans for patients.

• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, procedures, and self-management.

• Maintain professional development through certifications, training, and learning opportunities.

Experience/Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist with active state credential.

• Explain clinical protocols and physician orders clearly in EMR documentation.

• Demonstrated proficiency with respiratory therapy equipment and safety checks.

• Infection control training and adherence to standard precautions.

• Ability to assess airway status and adjust therapy per protocol.

• Strong patient education skills for therapy goals and self-management.

• Collaborative care mindset with daily huddles and care plan updates.

• Quality improvement participation and outcomes tracking.

• Self-motivated with continuous professional development and certifications.

• Contract role readiness with on-site presence and time-management discipline.
