Job Description

A highly regulated financial services organization is seeking an experienced professional to lead and coordinate complex regulatory, risk, and audit remediation initiatives across the enterprise.This role will work closely with senior leadership, business teams, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory Relations to ensure significant findings are addressed thoroughly and on schedule. The position requires someone who can bring structure to complex issues, challenge stakeholders constructively, and produce high-quality materials suitable for executive and regulatory audiences.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate significant remediation programs from initial issue assessment through final validation and closure.
  • Partner with business and control functions to develop remediation strategies, corrective action plans, governance structures, milestones, and measurable deliverables.
  • Help teams identify underlying causes of issues and ensure corrective actions address both immediate deficiencies and the risk of recurrence.
  • Maintain accountability across action owners by monitoring commitments, deadlines, dependencies, risks, and outstanding deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to remediation teams on documentation, governance, evidence requirements, and issue-management expectations.
  • Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple business units and senior stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory matters in partnership with the appropriate regulatory-relations and compliance teams, including preparation for supervisory interactions and formal responses.
  • Develop concise executive-level reporting on remediation progress, risks, milestones, corrective actions, key performance indicators, and outstanding issues.
  • Prepare materials for senior management, governance forums, and governing bodies.
  • Ensure remediation plans and reporting are structured consistently across different initiatives.
  • Coordinate the collection, organization, and review of supporting evidence required to demonstrate successful completion of corrective actions.
  • Review documentation to ensure remediation conclusions are supported by appropriate data, testing, controls, and evidence.
  • Maintain and enhance the organization's remediation methodology, procedures, and governance standards.
  • Identify potential delays, execution gaps, or emerging risks and escalate concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Promote stronger remediation practices and continuous improvement across the organization.
Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years of relevant experience across regulatory remediation, compliance, risk management, audit, issue management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience within financial services, insurance, financial-market infrastructure, or another highly regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex remediation or regulatory-change initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and senior leaders.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory governance and change-management principles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to financial-market infrastructure, including Regulation HH, CPMI-IOSCO principles, and PFMI, is highly valued.
  • Experience developing and managing corrective action plans, project timelines, resources, budgets, dependencies, and governance.
  • Working knowledge of risk assessments, control testing, data lineage, evidence mapping, and remediation validation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through ambiguity and evaluate complex information and large data sets.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, particularly the ability to create concise materials appropriate for executives, governing bodies, and regulators.
  • Confident communicator who can challenge action owners, maintain accountability, and influence senior stakeholders in demanding environments.
  • Strong organizational and project-management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional credentials in audit, accounting, risk, or project management are advantageous.
