Key Responsibilities

  • Review claims for per diem, lodging, and transportation reasonableness, receipt thresholds, and required approvals.
  • Use ConcurGov to assess authorization and voucher completeness and to pull and analyze system-generated reports.
  • Review Government travel charge card transactions and reconciliation; identify split, duplicate, unsupported, or questionable costs.
  • Assess travel-related internal controls, segregation of duties, and documentation retention practices.
  • Review travel policies, procedures, directives, and forms for alignment with the FTR and applicable Federal guidance.
  • Identify improper payments and unsupported costs; prepare findings, compliance reports, and executive-level summaries.
  • Provide corrective action and advisory support and present findings to Government leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum [5] years of experience in Federal travel compliance, travel voucher or authorization review, or FTR compliance support.
  • Hands-on experience with ConcurGov (Concur Government Edition).
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and Government travel charge card programs.
  • Experience with internal control assessments and compliance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, executive-ready written deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to pass a federal suitability / public trust background investigation for system access; US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as CGFM, CDFM, CPA, or PMP.
  • Familiarity with OMB Circular A-123, improper payments (IPERIA), or audit readiness.
  • Experience with Treasury Administrative Resource Center (ARC) shared services or an agency transition to Go.gov.
  • Experience supporting independent or small Federal agencies.
