In this role, you will be instrumental in collaborating closely with clients and sales teams to develop innovative solutions that leverage advanced technologies. You will focus on optimizing design strategies for warehouse and manufacturing operations, ultimately maximizing customer satisfaction and return on investment. Your expertise in warehouse logistics and simulation modeling will be essential for crafting tailored solutions that not only meet but exceed client expectations. Accountabilities
- Design Optimization: Utilize simulation and engineering tools to analyze and optimize Autostore layouts and processes, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and storage density.
- Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to warehouse operations, including inventory flow, storage requirements, and order fulfillment processes.
- Simulation Modeling: Develop and run simulation models to predict system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose design improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and sales teams to gather requirements and ensure designs align with client objectives and industry best practices.
- Client Engagement: Present design solutions and simulation results to clients, providing clear explanations of the benefits and potential impact on their operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance Autostore designs and operational strategies.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and simulation reports to support project implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse design, operations, or related roles, preferably focused on automated systems such as AutoStore.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, FlexSim) and engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
