Position Overview:
Our client, a successful plaintiff-side law firm, is seeking an experienced Consumer Class Action Paralegal to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting complex litigation and experience managing cases through all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys through all phases of consumer class action litigation.
- Draft, revise, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and electronically file documents in California state and federal courts.
- Maintain case files, litigation calendars, and monitor court deadlines.
- Organize, review, and manage large-scale document productions and discovery.
- Review, summarize, and analyze records, discovery responses, and case materials.
- Assist with class certification, dispositive motions, settlement documents, and trial preparation.
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and other litigation support materials.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other case-related events.
- Communicate with clients, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding case logistics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of complex litigation experience.
- Experience supporting complex litigation matters, including federal court filings, Bluebook citation, and preparation of Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents.
- Consumer class action litigation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California and federal court rules and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation case management software.
- Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
