Licensed Psychologist (Remote)
Fully Remote | Flexible Scheduling | Evaluation‑Only (No Treatment)
The Judge Group is seeking experienced, doctoral‑level Licensed Psychologists to conduct VA Disability (Compensation & Pension) mental health evaluations for Veterans. This is a meaningful opportunity to support those who have served by providing high‑quality, objective psychological assessments used in disability determination.
This role is 100% remote, structured, and does not involve therapy, ongoing patient care, or crisis management.
Position Overview
As a Licensed Psychologist, you will perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, review psychological testing requests, and provide medical opinions in accordance with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) guidelines. You will serve as a clinical subject matter expert for mental health disability claims.
These are non‑treatment, one‑time evaluations focused solely on assessment and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct structured outpatient psychological evaluations for Veterans
Perform Mental Disorder Examinations (MDEs), including assessments for:
PTSD
Depression
Anxiety disorders
Military Sexual Trauma (MST)
Eating disorders
Review and evaluate psychological and neuropsychological testing requests
Complete non‑physician clinical reviews as part of daily workflow
Participate in peer consultations, team meetings, and required training
Prepare and submit medical opinions and reports in compliance with VA standards
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and VA privacy regulations
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA‑accredited program
Active, unrestricted license as a Psychologist with full independent practice authority
Minimum 2 years post‑licensure clinical experience
Strong computer proficiency, including:
Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
Windows OS
Virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex)
Secure home office environment
Reliable high‑speed internet (cable or DSL)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience conducting VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations
ABPP Diplomate or ASPPB CPQ
Experience in managed care or clinical peer review
Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding
Background in higher levels of care (IOP), SUD treatment, or child/adolescent populations
Advanced Excel or database experience (e.g., Microsoft Access)
Skills & Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
Ability to meet strict documentation timelines
Independent, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a clinical team
