Job Type: Direct hire, full-timeLocation: Millsboro, DE (on-site)Relocation: Assistance available

About the Role

Lead maintenance and reliability for a rendering plant in a large food production operation. You own the equipment, systems and infrastructure, and you keep the plant safe, compliant and running. You are accountable 24/7 for critical assets and work as a key partner to operations.

What You Will Do

Lead maintenance supervisors, mechanics, technicians and contractors; coach and develop the team
Build and improve preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs
Lead root cause analysis on equipment failures and drive uptime and asset life
Run maintenance planning and scheduling, the CMMS and equipment records
Enforce safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hot work, contractor safety) and OSHA and environmental compliance
Manage the maintenance budget and KPIs: availability, downtime, PM completion, cost and reliability
Run capital projects and major equipment installs with operations, engineering, EHS and safety

Working Conditions

On call for plant emergencies 24/7. Industrial setting with heat, noise, odors, moisture and outdoor work. Climbing ladders and working at heights.

Requirements

Required

7+ years of industrial maintenance experience
3+ years leading or supervising maintenance teams
Experience managing maintenance budgets, programs and contractors

Preferred - Not Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology or maintenance management, or equivalent experience
Background in rendering, poultry, food or feed manufacturing
CMMS, reliability-centered maintenance and predictive maintenance tools
