Job Description
Overview
The types of roles available are including but not limited to, performing various rendering and tissue processes, operating heavy equipment, charting and reporting progress and yields. Rendering processes are the production of Meat and Bone Meal, Blood Meal and tallow.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is a high priority.
Responsibilities
In order to perform this job, employees must maintain equipment while documenting the process multiple times a day. Record keeping will either be done manually or via computer depending on the responsibility of the employee. The skilled operator will also be trained in lock out tag out since all rendering employees are responsible for part taking when necessary in maintenance of the equipment.
Employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights, continous moving mechanical parts as well as fast paced environment.
Main duties will include but not limited to:
- Maintain Processes
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Disassembling and re-assembling equipment
- Sampling product
- Tracking, reading or creating reports
- Ensuring food safety and quality
- Repetative motion and standing entire shift
- Climbing stairs/ladders
- Wear all PPE
Qualifications
- Rendering Experience Preferred
- Mechanical skills and abilities a plus
Wednesday-Saturday 4:50 PM-5:00 AM
