The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented lab technician to join our dynamic team. Under the guidance of our experienced biologists, you will gain hands-on experience and develop skills in protein research, genetic engineering, bioproduction, and scale-up. The technician will contribute to ongoing projects, conduct experiments as specified, and assist in protein research activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, as well as experience working with bacterial cultures.
Responsibilities
- Run agarose gel electrophoresis for DNA analysis.
- Run protein gels for detection and analysis.
- Prepare and maintain buffers, reagents, and other laboratory solutions.
- Prepare and sterilize culture media.
- Grow bacterial cultures for various experiments.
- Perform transformations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including electrophoresis chambers, centrifuges, sterilizers, and spectrophotometers.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize purification processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Assist in ordering and inventory management of laboratory supplies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
- Experience in protein purification techniques and experience with relevant laboratory equipment.
- Genetics lab, Bio Lab, Chem lab required courses
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
