Job Description

Site: Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, Inc.

Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.

The Roh Lab in the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Cardiovascular Research Center is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow to be part of our American Heart Association Strategically Focused Research Network (SFRN) Center on pregnancy and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health. This position will focus on cell- and animal-based experimental studies that investigate the intersection between placental senescence, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. The overarching project will include extensive work with murine models, cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic phenotyping, senescence biology, advanced molecular biology techniques, and multi-omics. The fellow will work with a dedicated AHA SFRN team that consists of a diverse group of outstanding MGH investigators with expertise in aging biology, cardiovascular disease pathophysiology, and maternal fetal medicine. They will also be integrally involved in our AHA SFRN Center, and will collaborate with the Center's clinical and population science teams, along with investigators in the national AHA SFRN network. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in molecular biology, mouse models, multi-omics, and an interest in women's cardiovascular health and aging biology. A PhD in a basic science discipline is required. If interested in the position, please email a cover letter, CV, and three references to Dr. Jason Roh (email: jroh@mgh.harvard.edu).
