DH DENTAL PAV LJob SummaryUnder minimal supervision, the Education Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks of the assigned program. Responsibilities include providing administrative coordination of Denver Health learner activities in collaboration with the Program Coordinators, Preceptors, Directors, affiliate academic institutions, and all learners. Essential Functions:- Operates as liaison for learners, faculty, affiliated academic institutions, and other DH departments (35%)
- Assists program director and other faculty in planning schedules of learners’ clinical placements, requiring continuous updates and communication with faculty and learners as conflicts and changes arise (10%)
- Collaborates with affiliate academic institutions to schedule and onboard learners (10%)
- Onboards student learners through Denver Health's electronic student database, myClinicalExchange (mCE) (5%)
- Ensures all learners are in compliance with Denver Health policies and procedures prior to clinical placement (5%)
- Collaborates with eHS to establish DH network access for learners (5%)
- Collaborates with the DH Badging Office to create ID badges, departments access, and distribute (5%)
- Ensures orientation checklist is completed by all learners to meet Joint Commission compliance requirements (5%)
- Oversees management of learner orientation at Denver Health (i.e. speakers, Epic training, etc.) (5%)
- Assists learners with call-room needs, scrub access, parking, pagers, etc. (5%)
- Identifies problems, develops solutions for the problems and presents the problems and solutions to Program Director. (5%)
- Collaborates with Senior Education Coordinator within the Office of Education to improve processes and maximize the learner experience (5%)
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1-3 years Relevant work experience: coordinating and managing education programs, preferably in the medical field.Required
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrates initiative and works efficiently
- Able to work collaboratively with a large group of individuals
- Able to works independently without direct supervision
- Able to prioritize and manage many competing interests
- Sophisticated use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
