Job Description
This is a part-time 10 hours a week position based at the Mariposa Apartments in Taos, NM. The primary function of the Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is to effectively assist residents that have requested support in enhancing the quality of their daily lives and to participate in the educational and economic mainstream. It provides residents with information about and supportive access to local services and resources that may assist the residents in achieving their life opportunities and objectives. You will provide residents with the tools, resources, and connections they need to enhance their quality of life. From coordinating youth afterschool programs to mediating resident conflicts and building partnerships with local agencies, your work ensures that every resident has a voice and a path forward.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Community Advocacy: Welcome new residents and build trusting, professional relationships that empower them to reach their personal goals.
Resource Navigation: Identify and maintain a network of local service providers to assist residents with healthcare, education, and financial stability.
Program Management: Organize recreational activities, computer classes, support groups, and-where applicable-dynamic afterschool programs for youth.
Housing Stability: Partner with Property Management to intervene early when residents face challenges, providing the support needed to prevent evictions.
Leadership Development: Foster resident leadership and organize community meetings to ensure programs are resident-led and culturally sensitive.
Data & Strategy: Track program outcomes and utilize data to constantly improve the services we provide to our families.
Qualifications Required:
Education:
- Associates degree in relevant field OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Experience:
- Must have one (1) year of experience with community organizing and the social services system.
- One-year minimum of experience working with under-served populations.
- Valid and clean record of NM driver's license with reliable personal transportation and be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Multi-task and complete assignments that occasionally occur in a stressful environment; strong verbal,written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer and technology proficient; must be able to easily use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel,Publisher and Outlook).
Must pass a state-enforced background check.
