The Resident Services Team at WCBay fosters meaningful relationships with our residents through supporting them with solving problems, accessing services, staying informed, and enjoying community life. No matter the task-at-hand, every action the Resident Services team takes, puts resident satisfaction & well-being at the forefront of it all.
The Resident Services Liaison at WCBay serves as a central point of contact between residents, families, and internal departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional living experience. The Liaison supports new resident move-ins and orientations, fosters ongoing engagement, and helps ensure residents feel welcomed, supported, and connected within the community. By maintaining strong communication, monitoring resident satisfaction, and collaborating with staff and leadership to resolve issues and improve services, the Resident Services Liaison helps uphold the community's standards of hospitality, responsiveness, and quality of care.
The Liaison serves as primary psychosocial and social work liaison for residents of Independent Living and Enhanced Services and their family members. Coordinate with the Director of Resident Life to meet the psychosocial needs of the residents. They ensure efforts to protect the rights of residents in all aspects of living, decision-making and care. They identify biopsychosocial needs of residents and develops, promotes, and implements plans/programs to address and recognize needs, such as formal support groups. They interact personally with residents and families, and always models our core values of respect, passion, and professionalism, holding others accountable for doing the same.
What You'll Do In This Role
- Serve on the Admissions Committee and conducts pre-admission interviews to determine if prospective residents meet established criteria.
- Provide outreach to each new resident on moving day.
- Coordinate on-going New Resident Orientation to facilitate community orientation.
- Work closely with the Welcoming Committee to acclimate new residents to the community.
- Coordinate with the Director of Resident Life and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support residents who receive financial assistance.
- Assist residents in making in-house transfers within the same level of care.
- Coordinate with Marketing and CFO to determine apartment availability and financial outcomes.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Care Planning and Resident Reviews, providing input and insight.
- Maintain necessary documentation consistent with regulatory requirements and policies for each level of care.
- Provide assistance and mediation to residents who are experiencing dispute and/or significant psychosocial problems.
- Screen Resident-Hired Workers to ensure compliance with policies, verify qualifications, and maintain safeguards for safe and effective performance of assigned tasks.
- Coordinate and communicate important updates and information to residents through newsletters, guides, directories, and meetings.
- Support the Director of Resident Life in placing residents appropriately and providing follow-up support after transitions.
- Assist with providing resources, education, referrals, and support to residents who are challenged by impairment to empower them to be as independent as possible.
- Work with teams across departments to achieve organizational goals, support initiatives, and perform other related duties as needed.
- Participate in resident meetings and committees, representing Administration and assisting with facilitation as needed
- Assist with updates to electronic databases such as, but not limited to; Electronic Medical Records (e.g., PCC) and Monday.com.
- All other duties as assigned.

The Experience You'll Bring
Required
- Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Gerontology or a similar field
- At least two years experience working with the aging population
- Familiarity with Microsoft and Google applications.
- Flu-Vaccinated
Preferred
- Experience with Lifecare CCRC's desirable.
- MoCA and UAI certified for conducting assessments.
- COVID-19 Vaccinated. As of now, the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine formulation is being distributed to providers and pharmacies; however, it has not yet received official approval from the CDC. In Virginia, pharmacists may administer COVID-19 vaccines under the Virginia Board of Pharmacy's statewide protocols or with a direct order from a licensed medical provider. We encourage all new hires to consult with their healthcare provider regarding the most current vaccination recommendations. Please be aware that, depending on future CDC guidance or regulatory updates, we may require proof of the most recent COVID-19 vaccination as part of our ongoing commitment to health and safety.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Range: $61,000- $63,000/year
