Residential Assistant Project Manager
A highly respected custom home builder with an outstanding reputation and a strong backlog of work is seeking an experienced Residential Assistant Project Manager to join its growing team. Responsibilities
- Manage residential construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with homeowners, architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.
- Monitor project costs and ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Coordinate project staffing and resource allocation.
- Identify and proactively mitigate project risks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and company policies.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, selections, and project documentation.
- Maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional communication and service throughout the building process.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience with a custom home builder or residential general contractor.
- Proven success managing custom residential construction projects, preferably luxury homes valued at $5 million or more.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building systems, and local building codes.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractor relationships.
- Proficiency with Procore, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
