A well-established New York City general contractor is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Site Supervisor to oversee high-end residential renovations, restorations, and ground-up construction projects throughout Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs.

This position is ideal for a hands-on construction professional who understands the demands of working in occupied buildings, townhomes, apartments, and other complex urban environments. The Site Supervisor will manage daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure every phase of construction meets the company’s standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations across assigned residential construction sitesCoordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, vendors, deliveries, and inspectionsReview drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirementsMonitor workmanship and ensure work meets design and quality standardsTrack project progress and communicate updates to project managementIdentify field issues early and help develop practical solutionsMaintain short-term schedules and keep subcontractors accountableCoordinate work with architects, designers, engineers, building management, and clientsEnforce site safety requirements and maintain clean, organized job sitesDocument daily progress, manpower, deliveries, delays, and completed workManage punch lists and support projects through final completion and turnover

Qualifications

At least five years of construction supervision experienceStrong background in high-end residential renovations or custom home constructionExperience managing projects in New York City strongly preferredWorking knowledge of carpentry, millwork, finishes, mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, and general building practicesAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documentsStrong subcontractor coordination and scheduling skillsExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable working directly with discerning homeowners, architects, designers, and property representativesOSHA 30 certification preferredProcore or similar construction management software experience is a plus
