Position Overview

As a Residential Gas Pipe Installer at Dave Jones, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of gas piping systems for residential properties.

Compensation Details:

$22 to $30 per hour based on experience
Company truck + fuel card

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and practice the principles of code-compliant gas systems using copper, steel and flexible piping.
Competent in blueprint reading and general layout from both designed and non-pre drawn designs.
Cut/core openings in structures to accommodate pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
Ensure no leaks and compliance with gas provider and municipality requirements through system testing.
Calculate BTU loads and properly size piping schematics.
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, regulators, and appliances.
Assist in the training and development of Youth Apprentices, Pre-Apprentices, and Apprentices on the job sites.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in gas pipe installation or related field.
Knowledge of gas codes and safety regulations.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
Ability to work alone
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks consistently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
