Residential HVAC Trim-Out Technician
$28 - $40 per hour | Full-Time
Advantage Contractors Solutions is a residential HVAC contractor serving major national homebuilders throughout the Northwest Chicago suburbs. Our work is built on consistency - steady job flow, organized projects, and reliable employment throughout the entire year, including the winter months when many companies slow down.
We are currently looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Trim-Out Technician who wants dependable, long-term work in a suburban setting without the unpredictability of city projects.
Work Location
Projects are located across Elgin, Huntley, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Schaumburg, and nearby suburban communities. All work is suburban - no downtown or city job sites.

Work Hours: 40+ hours weekly, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities as needed

Role Overview
As a Residential HVAC Trim-Out Technician, you will be responsible for the HVAC installations in new construction homes. This includes installation, system startup, finishing work, and ensuring each installation meets quality and performance standards.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of residential HVAC experience
- Experience with new construction installs and system startups
- Solid understanding of airflow, system performance, and installation standards
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Personal hand tools required
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment
Hands-on residential HVAC experience is required. Applicants without relevant field experience will not be considered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces and air conditioners
- Installing registers, grills, and finishing ductwork connections
- Performing system startups, evacuations, and refrigerant charging
- Verifying system performance and making necessary adjustments
- Identifying and resolving installation issues
- Keeping job sites clean, organized, and professional
- Working with team members to meet build timelines
