Description

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Residential Program Manager to join our newest Youth Psychiatric Residential Treatment facility set to open this summer in Eugene, Oregon!

Nexus Family Healing is expanding to Eugene, Oregon, with the opening of a new 14-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) set to open this summer! This location is In partnership with the Oregon Health Authority Behavioral Health Division and will serve justice-involved youth ages 12 - 17, experiencing acute emotional concerns, and serious and persistent mental illness.

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 annually

Position Summary:

Our Residential Program Manager supervises the daily operations of residential programming, providing leadership, direction, and oversight to Milieu Supervisors and other staff. This role ensures communication, planning, collaboration, and operational effectiveness that support client treatment services.

Responsibilities:

Treatment Programming Development & Maintenance

  • Ensures sufficient staff-to-client ratios are maintained at all times, maximizing the treatment process, ensuring client safety, and complying with licensing requirements.
  • Oversees the planning and scheduling of clients' daily treatment services, family contact and visits, special events, and community involvement; ensures client transportation and supervision needs are met.
  • Identifies and analyzes current or potential program risk factors; initiates and implements thoughtful long-term solutions that support program goals and maintain effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with the Associate Director and Clinical Director to evaluate long-term changes that support the therapeutic treatment process.
  • Works with appropriate staff to communicate care changes to families and other treatment team members.
  • Ensures staff are equipped to work effectively with families and utilize strengths-based, trauma-informed practices.

Client Treatment Planning & Strategy

  • Participates in the evaluation of prospective clients.
  • Encourages staff and program preparedness throughout the admission and intake process, ensuring clients are transitioned in a manner that continuously meets client and family needs.
  • Oversees staff implementation of safe environment plans, behavior plans, and plans of care.
  • Monitors the delivery of treatment services to residents to ensure proper follow-through and follow-up within the program.

Program Operations

  • Participates in risk management, risk mitigation, and quality improvement initiatives by serving as a contributing member of the Risk Management and Quality Improvement Committees.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures that support the successful functioning of the program.

Program Leadership & Staff Training and Development

  • Collaborates with leadership and talent acquisition to recruit, interview, and hire qualified staff.
  • Ensures consistent staffing coverage in compliance with licensing standards; participates in the supervisory on-call rotation.
  • Oversees accurate and confidential maintenance of client records; ensures timely reporting of incidents to appropriate authorities.
  • Leads onboarding and orientation for new hires; provides ongoing training and mentorship to support staff growth.
  • Coaches staff on trauma-informed care, treatment planning, behavior management, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Conducts regular performance evaluations with constructive feedback and individualized development plans.
  • Facilitates or participates in team, clinical, and program meetings; ensures clear and consistent communication across teams.

Program Collaboration & Monitoring

  • Models program values by demonstrating professionalism, therapeutic skills, and alignment with treatment goals.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with Nexus policies and privacy regulations.
  • Communicates with empathy, respect, and professionalism toward clients and staff.
  • Engages in therapeutic interventions within training scope while maintaining healthy boundaries.
  • Responds to emergencies and performs First Aid/CPR per established protocols.
  • Ensures emotional and physical safety by monitoring compliance with health codes and safety procedures; conducts regular inspections and addresses concerns promptly.
  • Respects and incorporates cultural differences in all aspects of service delivery.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a community-based program or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or above.
  • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
  • Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
  • Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, tradition, and values.
  • Successfully participate and complete a three-part Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field strongly preferred
