Job Description

Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Residential Project Manager to oversee the execution of residential solar energy projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing residential installations from inception to completion—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy within residential sectors.

Your leadership and project management skills will be essential in driving the project team and providing an exceptional experience for our clients. This role is in office at our Lexington, Kentucky office.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and execution of residential solar projects, from planning through installation and final inspection.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Conduct site assessments and oversee the permitting process to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, enforcing quality control and safety measures.
  • Lead project team meetings and assist in problem-solving during project execution.
  • Conduct project evaluations after completion to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management within the solar, construction, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of residential solar systems, installation processes, and local permitting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for renewable energy and dedication to sustainable practices.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as necessary.
