Residential Roofing Estimator / Sales & Project Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking a Residential Roofing Estimator / Sales & Project Coordinator to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a hybrid role combining estimating, sales, customer relations, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will have residential roofing or construction experience, strong sales and communication skills, and the ability to take a project from the initial homeowner consultation and estimate through the sales and project handoff process.

Experience with asphalt-shingle and residential metal roofing is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Site Assessment

• Conduct residential roof inspections and evaluate existing conditions.
• Take accurate measurements and complete material and labor takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive proposals.
• Estimate asphalt-shingle and residential metal roofing projects.
• Account for flashing, ventilation, underlayment, trim, penetrations, fasteners, waste, equipment, and labor.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding material pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Revise estimates based on changes in scope or customer requests.

Sales & Customer Relations

• Meet with homeowners to understand their roofing needs.
• Recommend appropriate roofing solutions based on the customer's needs and budget.
• Present estimates and clearly explain scope, materials, warranties, pricing, and timelines.
• Build trust and maintain strong relationships with homeowners.
• Follow up on proposals and leads to close sales.
• Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the estimating and pre-construction process.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate the transition of sold projects from estimating into production.
• Work closely with foremen, installers, project managers, schedulers, and suppliers.
• Assist with material ordering, scheduling, and project preparation.
• Monitor project scope, customer expectations, and changes.
• Help address customer or production issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and CRM records.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who can estimate the job, sell the job, and help coordinate the job.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of residential roofing, construction sales, estimating, or project coordination experience.
• Hands-on residential roofing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous sales experience, particularly in roofing, construction, home improvement, or another consultative sales environment.
• Strong knowledge of residential roofing systems.
• Experience with residential metal roofing is highly preferred.
• Understanding of residential construction practices and local building requirements.
• Ability to read plans, scopes of work, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating with the production team.
• Experience with estimating or CRM software such as EagleView, JobNimbus, or similar platforms.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
