- Licensure/Certification + Travel and other reimbursements when applicable
- Provide respiratory care treatments, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for in-patients and out-patients.
- Perform and document therapeutic procedures according to established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assist with weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation support.
- Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and perform/monitor EKGs as ordered.
- Assist with changing artificial airways and deliver intermittent therapy.
- Provide patient care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, and safety criteria appropriate to the age served in the assigned area.
- Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans; review and maintain required clinical records.
- Associates Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- Computer skills for accurate data entry and retrieval (Windows-style applications)
- NRP certification (only for therapists working in the NICU)
