- Education: Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Licensure:
- Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
- Experience: Previous experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred but not required; new graduates may be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in respiratory therapy equipment, ventilator management, airway clearance techniques, and oxygen therapy.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and compassionate patient care.
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Set up and operate ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment.
- Administer respiratory therapies including aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and respond to emergency situations (e.g., code blue).
