Job Description

There has always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri. Enter Ed & Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but they always felt they knew what good food was all about. It began on May 15, 1983, when they opened a little 40-seat cafe that served breakfast and lunch. The CORNER CAFE was born. Expansions and new buildings have been built, but we continue the traditions that started back in 1983. We strive to provide the best products, the best service, and the best value in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. The Independence location opened in 2008.

High Volume Restaurant Manager

We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our managers. Managers receive two (2) weeks of paid vacation annually, two (2) personal days, a company paid Sam's Club membership, and complimentary meals while on duty. This position is scheduled for approximately 50 hours per week and includes the opportunity to earn a monthly performance bonus based on the achievement of store goals and objectives. Additionally, managers may participate in health, dental, and vision insurance plans, with premiums shared between the employee and the company. Company paid life insurance is provided and voluntary benefits, including disability coverage, supplemental accident, and hospital indemnity are available through payroll deduction.

We are a family owned restaurant that has been in business 43 years with 3 locations in the Kansas City area. Each location employs between 100-125 staff members and we serve a lot of meals!
