Position Summary: The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and preparing food in the restaurant and supervising other kitchen staff.

Experience: Five years or more experience in a full-service restaurants, to include pizza experience.

Compensation: Competitive salary depending on experience.

Duties Include:

The following is a general, but not fully inclusive, list of basic daily/weekly job duties and functions:

Oversees food preparation and cooking. Prepares meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner.
Assists with the hiring and training of new kitchen staff.
Properly measures kitchen ingredients and food portions.
Ensures kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements.
Uses kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation.
Manages kitchen inventory and ensures supplies are fresh and of high quality.
Ensures proper food temperatures when cooking and storage after.
Keeps workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized according to sanitation standards.
Facilitates kitchen opening and closing.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
