QUICK OVERVIEW - TL;DR

We are hiring entry-level Restoration Technicians (Mitigation) who are hungry to learn a real field trade and build a long-term career in restoration. This is hands-on, purpose-driven work on water, fire, and mold losses, with structured training and a clear growth path.

THE WHERE

Opportunities in both New York and New Jersey (Metro NY/NJ). Field-based roles require travel across NYC and Northeast NJ as needed.

THE ROLE - WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

• Respond to water, fire, and mold losses and support the mitigation scope under direction of a Crew Chief or Project Manager.
• Perform demolition and site protection (containment, floor/wall protection) per scope and safety standards.
• Set and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers) and help with daily checks.
• Assist with moisture readings and documentation (photos, notes, job file updates) using mobile tools.
• Load/unload equipment, maintain cleanliness of job sites and warehouse, and follow PPE and safety protocols.
• Communicate respectfully with customers, building staff, and teammates - represent Paul Davis professionally.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (nights/weekends) as required by the business.

THE CAREER PATH

• Level 1: Restoration Technician - build core field fundamentals and reliability.
• Level 2: Crew Chief - lead field execution and documentation; run small inspections; coach technicians.
• Level 3: Associate Mitigation Project Manager - train into full project ownership.
• Level 4: Mitigation Project Manager / Senior PM - manage a book of business and lead teams.

REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Required: Eligible to work in the U.S.; high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license; comfort working on job sites and lifting/moving equipment; basic smartphone/app competence.
• Preferred: 0-2 years in restoration, construction, demolition, facilities, or a trade; willingness to earn IICRC certifications (we will support training).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Hourly pay range: $18-$21/hr (based on experience).
• Overtime opportunities and weekly paychecks.
• Benefits after 90 days (health/disability), PTO, 401(k) with match, cellphone allowance, and performance-based bonuses (as applicable).
