Position: Retail Account Specialist,  Beauty

Work Location:Boston, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

What you will be doing:

As a Sales Coordinator,you’llsupport the Senior Manager of Sales in driving execution across key retail accounts: Target and Walmart.You’llplay a vital role in coordinating promotional activities, account management, tracking performance and timelines, and ensuring operational excellence forHelen ofTroy’s beauty portfolio—Revlon and Hot Tools. This isa great opportunityfor a detail-oriented, proactive team player who brings creativity, decisiveness, and attention to detail to every task.

Expect a rhythm of 20% travel and 80% remote or corporate office engagement, balancing in-market execution with strategic planning and team development.

  • Support execution of promotional plans, product launches, and category initiatives across Target and Walmart, and other assigned accounts.

  • Act as the tactical expert on customer-specific processes, timelines, portals, and requirements.

  • Monitor account progress, daily orders, and shipment status; proactively flag issues and collaborate with the Senior Manager to resolve customer-related challenges.

  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer, translating needs into actionable plans and supporting flawless execution.

  • Assistwith line reviews by gathering and organizing information from internal HELE teams.

  • Prepare materials for customer meetings, including sales decks, performance reports, and promotional calendars.

  • Track and report on sales performance using customer portals, Excel, Nielsen, and IRI.

  • Maintainaccount documentation including Joint Business Plans (JBP), forecasts, and line reviews.

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including meeting prep, customer/vendor setup, compliance paperwork, and daily communication across accounts and sales reps.

  • Managenew itemsetup, portal updates, and ensuretimelyexecution of operational tasks.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive smooth execution.

  • Identifyand recommend process improvements with a proactive, solution-oriented, and creative mindset.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Sales. 

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong understanding of Target retail environments

  • Proficiencyin Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link DSS, and Scintilla

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

  • 2+years of experience in sales support or account coordination

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPG or beauty industry experience  

  • Familiarity with Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link DSS, or similar tools

  • Experience with Target or Walmart

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $60,259 - 75,324 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
