We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our front-of-house team. As the face of our butcher shop’s retail side, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service while guiding customers through our selection of high-end meats, specialty foods, and gourmet products. This role is perfect for someone with retail experience who enjoys working with people and appreciates quality food.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selection.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays of high-end retail products.
- Educate customers on specialty items, pairings, and preparation suggestions.
- Support butcher staff by relaying customer requests and preparing orders for pickup.
- Ensure the retail area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating products to ensure freshness.
- Uphold company standards for customer service and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, ideally in specialty food, grocery, or high-end retail.
- Previous experience with TOAST POS system preferred
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn about premium meats and gourmet products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Schedule & Benefits:
