Retail Tire Technician

Retail Tire Technician Location: Hazleton, PAJob Type: Full TimeDepartment: Retail Tire Service McCarthy Tire Service is looking for an experienced Retail Tire & Automotive Technician to join our Hazleton team. If you have a current Pennsylvania State Inspection License and automotive repair experience, we want to talk to you. This is more than a tire technician position. You’ll work on a variety of passenger and light-truck vehicles, performing inspections, preventive maintenance, tire service, diagnostics, and repairs.Job Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on passenger and light truck tires.
• Conduct State inspections 
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks including:*
  • Oil changes, tire rotations and tire installations
  • Engine tune-ups and filter replacements
  • Wheel balancing and alignments
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system issues.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and components as needed.
• Perform test drives and make necessary system adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with state safety and emission standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on shop equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Keep current with industry best practices and technologies through ongoing training.

Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania State Inspection License
• Minimum age: 18
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have own tools
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

Experience with tires, brakes, steering and suspension, alignments, and general automotive maintenance is a plus.Other Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
