Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Monitors inventory levels in Wardrobe and the Gift Shop by conducting daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventories.• Works with suppliers to order stock replenishments on a regular basis.• Ensures proper inventory control procedures are in place and executed properly by all Retail & Wardrobe staff. • Oversees the receiving of merchandise shipments from vendors, verifies that the appropriate merchandise and quantity is received in good condition, and all paperwork is completed and sent to accounts payable in a timely way.• Resolves discrepancy issues with the vendors in a timely manner.• Coordinates and oversees the proper tagging and back stocking of inventory for both retail and wardrobe operations.• Ensures procedures are in place and followed by all staff for properly adding items into inventory, tagging, merchandising and stocking. • Schedules and oversees uniform room seamstresses and attendants in issuing and altering of appropriate uniforms to the team members as well as the stocking and maintenance of the uniform room. • Establishes and/or maintains quality standards on finished alterations.• Conducts monthly spot checks on uniform inventory and supplies.• Resolves variances as required. Coordinates annual department inventory.• Maintains procedures established for uniform change requests.• Generates end-of-month financial and inventory reports for Finance and departmental records. Communicates retail sales data to the Director of Training & Development for monthly financial reviews.• Analyzes sales reports to ensure the proper sales mix is maintained on the sales floor.• Monitors the monthly and annual budgets for each department to ensure labor and expenses are in line with projections. • Maintains organized and accurate team member files, vendor files, financial recaps and any other pertinent communications.• Provides prompt and accurate feedback to team members on their performance.• Communicates effectively and promptly to all staff members in retail and wardrobe. • Supervises and tracks all merchandise in the uniform room, as well as what is put into storage in a location other than existing uniform rooms, sent to an outside laundry, returned to stock as usable and charged out of stock as unusable. • Conducts a periodic walk through of the casino to ensure proper uniforms are being worn and maintained, and reports any discrepancies to the appropriate departmental supervisor.• Implements and interprets policies & procedures for retail & wardrobe operations and enforces safety regulations.• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and staff.• Analyzes and resolves work problems and/or assists staff in solving work problems and responds to team member and guest complaints and/or inquiries promptly and courteously.• Promotes a maximum level of team member & guest service and satisfaction in each department. • Maintains adequate staffing levels in each department, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining, and terminating team members, as needed.• Directly supervises the Gift Shop Supervisor & the Wardrobe Supervisor, and indirectly supervises all team members in the Retail & Wardrobe Departments.• Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication• Performs all other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS• College degree and three or more years of retail or uniform management experience required; or candidates must possess at least six years of relevant management experience with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability. Experience relevancy will be determined by the hiring team.
