The Reverse Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all activities related to the return, recovery, refurbishment, and disposition of products moving back through the supply chain. This role oversees the end‑to‑end reverse logistics process, including returns intake, inspection, routing, repair coordination, recycling, and inventory reintegration. The manager ensures operational efficiency, cost optimization, and high‑quality standards while partnering with cross‑functional teams to improve return rates, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction. The position requires strong analytical skills, process leadership, and the ability to manage a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Oversee the full reverse logistics workflow, including returns intake, inspection, routing, refurbishment, recycling, and final disposition.
- Manage daily operations of the returns and reverse supply chain team, including staffing, training, and performance oversight.
- Develop and maintain processes for efficient handling of customer returns, warranty claims, and repair bound items.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Repairs, Customer Service, and Inventory teams to ensure accurate assessment and routing of returned products.
- Analyze return trends, defect patterns, and root causes to support product improvements and reduce future returns.
- Optimize reverse logistics costs by improving processes, reducing waste, and identifying opportunities for recovery or resale.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system updates for all returned items, including condition assessments, repair needs, and final outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to product handling, recycling, and disposal.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Inventory teams to reintegrate refurbished or recovered products into available stock.
- Monitor KPIs such as return volume, processing time, recovery rates, and cost per return.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Manage vendor relationships related to recycling, disposal, or third party repair services when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure returns processing area, ensuring proper handling of high value items.
