RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily & Operational Accounting- Keeping the Flame Steady

• Manage daily accounting tasks with precision and consistency
• Provide daily cash reporting to keep everyone warmed up
• Prepare bi-weekly cash forecasts-because we like to stay ahead of any financial cold fronts
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Jump in to support AP/AR when things get a little toasty
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany charge invoices
• Post recurring journal entries and assist with the occasional curveball
• Help with annual physical inventory (yes, we'll count things together-no sweat)

Month-End Reporting Support- Turning Up the Heat When It Matters

• Assist with month-end close for both Reznor and Roberts Gordon
• Prepare account reconciliations and roll-forwards
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and verify ending balances
• Support monthly variance analysis-discovering what's heating up or cooling down
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax reporting (1099s, Sales/Use tax)

Process Improvement & Support- Keeping our Systems Sizzling

• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve processes between the two companies
• Serve as backup support to the Accounting Manager-because even heat sources need a backup generator

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 - 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products; able to learn new computer programs quickly
• Experience with SAP or Epicor systems, preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams/departments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when deadlines are tight and workloads are high
• Proactive and self-motivated with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility; a strong sense of urgency, active listening, and the ability to work independently or thrive in a team environment
