Title: RF Engineering Assistant Intern
Schedule: June–August 2026
Location: Beverly, MA

About the RoleAxcelis is seeking a summer intern to assist in the development of new RF resonator technology for our linac-based ion implanters.
What You’ll Do
Support implementation of RF designs in laboratory test stands
Build and integrate hardware assemblies, including soldering and crimping
Assist with integration of power, facilities, and control systems
Operate equipment and support supervised testing activities
Perform RF measurements and support long-term data collection
Assist with software used to control hardware and test stand
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in RF engineering, including circuit and filter design
Some software experience (e.g., C, LabVIEW) preferred
Ability to work effectively in a small, hands-on engineering team

Commute Information:
To support students commuting to our facility, Axcelis provides a $1,000 travel stipend, paid as a lump-sum in the first paycheck. Our headquarters in Beverly, MA, is located directly off Route 128 and just 10 minutes from the Beverly Train Station for those using public transportation. U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$20.00 - $30.00This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
