About the Role

We are seeking an experienced RF/Millimeter-Wave Design Engineer to join our North Reading, MA team, the person that fills this role will be a Senior member in our instrument design team. As an individual contributor you will work with other members of the design team including cross functionally with mechanical, software and manufacturing to design high quality / state-of-the-art test and measurement instruments operating at frequencies up to 80 GHz and beyond.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and evaluate RF system architectures, including detailed cascade analysis and system analysis
  • Work with MMIC device vendors and contribute to Teradyne semiconductor strategy
  • Design measurement system and define block level electrical specifications
  • Develop prototype designs generally using ADS and HFSS
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure designs are consistent with manufacturing constraints, including Design-For-Manufacturing (DFM) and Design-For-Test (DFT)
  • Develop test plans and perform module level design verification in the lab
  • Work closely with manufacturing to resolve process related performance issues to root cause and corrective action.
  • Develop hardware documents such as technical assessments, implementation specifications and layered specification documents.
  • Participate in technical discussions and exchanges regarding technology developments, next generation developments and roadmaps

  • Must have extensive experience developing millimeter wave circuits above 80 GHz
  • Must have extensive experience designing RF and microwave systems
  • Must have a strong understanding of state-of-the-art technology and practice for designing above 80 GHz
  • Must have worked with materials and manufacturing teams to understand technology and process tradeoffs to develop high quality / high reliability designs
  • Must have experience producing quality designs using simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS and HFSS.

Education Requirements:

  • MSEE degree or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in RF, analog, and mixed signal circuit design up to 80 GHz
  • PhD preferred.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $150,400 - $240.600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
