Join a growing, innovation-driven engineering team as an RF High Power Amplifier Design Engineer in Glendale Heights, Il. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite with a company known for precision solid-state microwave and RF systems serving critical communications and advanced industrial power applications, where your expertise will directly support cutting-edge high-power RF amplifier development in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this RF High Power Amplifier Design Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF/Microwave Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in RF high-power amplifier design, ideally 50–100W or higher
  • Strong experience with GaN and/or LDMOS technologies
  • Proficiency with Smith chart applications for impedance matching, stability analysis, and power transfer network design
  • Hands-on experience with AWR Microwave Office, ADS, and RF simulation/modeling tools
  • Design and develop new L-Band and S-Band solid-state high-power amplifiers
  • Lead amplifier block design including matching networks, bias circuits, thermal management, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams while maintaining detailed design and simulation documentation

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical coverage with 75% paid by the company, short-term and long-term disability insurance, $25,000 life insurance with optional additional coverage, a 401(k) with 4% match, and paid time off.
