Job Title: Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor
Office Location: Fully Remote (1 Healthcare Plaza, Oakland, CA for reference). Education Requirements:
Required: BA degree or additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred: Certified Coding Professional (CCP) and subject matter expert in risk adjustment coding.
Experience Requirements:
Required: 5+ years of extensive coding audit experience in risk adjustment.
Systems Knowledge:
Required: General Client Office (Outlook, Teams), email.
Preferred: EPIC (HealthConnect), 3M for coding.
Shift:
8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Interview Process:
Step 1: Telephone screening.
Step 2: Teams meeting for final interview.
Job Description:
The Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor performs coding audits by reviewing medical record documentation and applying official coding guidelines and other relevant standards as they apply to risk adjustment.
Typical Day-to-Day:
Conducting risk adjustment chart reviews based on audit protocols.
Utilizing the ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AHA Coding Clinic for accurate coding.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant coding regulations and ensuring data accuracy.
