Risk Advisor

Req: 104508-1 Job Title: Risk Advisor FinEx Program (ERP Transformation) Work Location: Remote Duration: 3 Months Interview Process: Two rounds (1-hour panel interview followed by a 45-minute job-fit interview) Overview Client is seeking an experienced Risk Advisor to support the FinX (Finance Transformation) Program, a strategic initiative focused on replacing the enterprise ERP platform and migrating from PeopleSoft to Workday. This role will serve as the primary risk consultation lead, ensuring compliance with enterprise policies, standards, and procedures while supporting critical technology, cyber, and data risk assessments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to partner across finance, product, technology, and data teams to provide strategic guidance and risk-based recommendations throughout the ERP transformation. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary risk advisor supporting the FinX program.
• Provide consultation on adherence to Client policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct and support risk assessments related to technology, cyber, and data domains.
• Evaluate design decisions and recommend appropriate controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Review and oversee testing access controls and test data review processes.
• Assess risks associated with data movement, data protection, tokenization, and third-party SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with process engineers, project managers, SOX resources, and cross-functional business teams.
• Partner with Information Security and other subject matter experts when specialized guidance is required.
• Support milestones leading up to simulation testing and Workday implementation.
• Identify potential risks and ensure controls are established before go-live.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across finance, technology, product, data, and program teams.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Technology Risk
  • Data Risk
  • Cyber Risk
  • IT Risk Management
  • Financial Risk Management
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)
  • IT Audit
• Strong understanding of:
  • Risk assessments and control frameworks.
  • Data protection and secure data movement.
  • Third-party and SaaS-related risks.
  • Cybersecurity concepts and threats.
  • Policy and standards compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Experience providing consultative guidance and facilitating risk-based decisions.
• Ability to quickly learn complex business processes and navigate large transformation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Client experience.
• Experience supporting finance, technology, or data risk programs.
• Knowledge of enterprise policy and standards environments.
• Experience with ERP transformation programs.
• Exposure to Workday or PeopleSoft environments.
• Understanding of tokenization, data flows, and third-party risk considerations.
• Background in IT Audit or GRC.
• Change management or digital transformation experience (nice to have).

Technical Focus Areas The majority of risk consultations are expected to involve:

This is not a hands-on cybersecurity role, but candidates should possess sufficient cyber risk knowledge to identify risks and collaborate effectively with information security partners.
