POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for protecting Company assets and personal property from theft, fire, and damage by understanding the resort business. Collaborate with Resort Leadership to identify risk areas and develop strategies to alleviate Company exposure. The Risk Manager investigates accidents, injuries, occupational illness, theft and other incidents, compiles and analyzes the data to improve processes and procedures to reduce exposure and loss. Works with and through management, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and to assist in the achievement of profitability/productivity requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
- Conduct investigations related to accidents, injuries, and theft for both Guest and Team Members. Handle Workers Compensation issues and investigate root cause for all incidents providing remedies to avoid future risk. Follow up on these issues to ensure implementation has occurred.
- Oversee the investigation of any losses on property by reviewing video and other materials to determine Team Member involvement. Involve Resort Leadership and Human Resources when appropriate and complete summary inclusive of recommendations to avoid future loss.
- Conduct routine Inspection and assess existing facilities and review construction plans to determine if safety standards are met. Maintain all inspections within compliance by the company and local codes. Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- N/A
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED. BS/BA Degree preferred
- Four years of experience in security/risk management
- Two years in a safety management position required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Current and valid Florida Driver's License
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess an intimate knowledge of presentations, and applicable software
- Research and Analysis Capabilities
- Able to work independently
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, and minimum of 4 years of driving experience
- May not have any Type A violations in the last three (3) years (which include, but are not limited to, DWI, DUI, refusing a substance test, driving with an open container of alcohol, reckless driving, hit and run, fleeing a police officer, racing, driving while license is revoked or suspended, manslaughter or any felony)
- May not have more than two (2) Type B moving violations in the last three (3) years; (includes most driving violations such as speeding, improper lane change, failure to yield or obey a traffic signal or sign, license suspension or at fault accidents.
- May not have more than one at-fault accident within last three (3) years; and may not have one (1) Type B moving violation and one (1) at-fault accident within three (3) years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery and motor vehicles. Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice. WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled environment, may be exposed to outdoor conditions such as inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.
