Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Float Pool | Tulsa, OK

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our patient care team. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, unit procedures, and professional nursing standards. You will provide safe, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive clinical outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

This position is ideal for a new graduate or early-career Registered Nurse looking to build a strong clinical foundation in an acute care hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments while considering age-specific, cultural, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
  • Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, care plans, and outcomes using appropriate medical terminology.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
  • Develop and update individualized care plans while addressing patient goals and clinical priorities.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Coordinate patient discharges through appropriate education, referrals, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, unit-based projects, and required in-service training.
  • Complete variance reports and maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing approved by a State Board of Nursing.
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse License or valid multistate Registered Nurse License.
  • 0–6 months of related nursing experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Working knowledge of disease management principles, clinical pathways, and the biopsychosocial model of patient care.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review clinical and numerical data.
