Nights or D/N Rotate Available! - 36 hrs/wk

ASSIGNMENT IS FOR MED SURG ONLY MUST HAVE SURGICAL EXPERIENCE

32 bed SURGICAL UNIT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE CARING FOR PATIENTS AFTER VASCULAR, THORACIC, COLORECTAL AND GENERAL SURGERY.

The most common diagnosis s on their unit: ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, sepsis

LNA ratios to patients: 1: 7-11 (unit shares with PCU)

RN Patient ratios on days is 4:1 and on nights is 5:1

Would they expect the traveler to float: yes

Required Experience:

- Chest tubes

- Tubes

- Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone

- Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients

- Trachs/Laryngectomies

- Telemetry

- Complex wounds

- Central Lines care and maintenance and blood draws
