Job Description
This is a permanent RN position on the Cardiology/PCU unit at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The hospital holds PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations and offers a broad range of services including a cancer center, nephrology unit, inpatient behavioral health, and a childbirth center.The role. The nurse will practice on an Intermediate/Cardiology Care unit using Cerner as the EHR, caring for an adult to geriatric population with diagnoses that commonly include STEMI, Non-STEMI, stroke, post-catheterization care, and alcohol withdrawal. Day shift ratios are 1 RN to 3 patients on active titrating drips or 1 RN to 4 patients on standard IMC assignment. The position requires competent management of cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips, and coordinating care across the cardiology and intermediate care spectrum.What we're looking for.
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- Active RN license required prior to start date (New Mexico or Compact licensure accepted; candidates without either may apply but must obtain licensure before starting)
- BLS certification required; all other required certifications may be obtained after hire
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, with at least 1 year in cardiology or IMC (2 years preferred)
- Resume must include a Nurse Practicum section and list all experience in MM/YYYY format
