Job Description
A 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Surgical Inpatient Unit on a night shift (7P–7A) schedule. The facility serves the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, and its services span medical, surgical, rehabilitation, nephrology, pediatric, and behavioral health care, among others.The role. This RN position is based on the 24-bed Surgical Inpatient Unit (third floor), caring for an adult population ranging from 18 to 100+ years of age, with a maximum patient ratio of 1:6. Nurses on this unit should expect regular turnover of admits and discharges throughout the shift. The clinical focus is postoperative care spanning orthopedic, neurosurgical, and abdominal surgeries, with hands-on management of NG tubes, chest tubes, Foley catheters, and TURPs. The unit also sees a broad medical/surgical mix that includes patients presenting with respiratory issues, diabetic complications, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, rib fractures, altered mental status, and complex pain management needs. Documentation is completed in Cerner.What we're looking for.• Registered Nurse (RN) — required education• Candidates must have at least 2 years of acute care experience for the unit they are applying to• BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments• Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to startSchedule. Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
