Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a RN – ICU – 12-hour, Nights (7p–7a)
Total Gross Pay: $2,110.00/week
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality care to critically ill ICU patients
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced life support and critical interventions
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and take appropriate action
- Administer medications, including IV drips and critical care therapies
- Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy
- Communicate and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care progression
- Ensure accurate documentation in EPIC EMR system
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support team workflow
- Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education and/or Certification Requirement:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Active RN License (state of practice or compact)
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Certification required at submission
- CPI listed but not required (placeholder document needed)
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 2+ years ICU experience required
- Experience with high-acuity critical care patients
- EPIC documentation experience required
- Travel experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ICU environment
Management Requirement:
- Ability to prioritize care and delegate tasks effectively
- Works collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team
Process Oversight Requirement:
- Ensures compliance with Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
- Maintains patient safety, quality care, and regulatory adherence
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives
Specific Skills Requirement:
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage high-acuity ICU patients and rapid changes in condition
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
