Job Description
Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Portales!This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.Schedule: 3 shifts per week (Wed-Friday: Day Shift) or (Thu-Sat: Night Shift)Both schedules are open to either RN or LVN!Details:
- Location: Portales, NM
- Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
- Must be available on weekends
- Employment Type: Contract
- Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!
- Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license (in good standing) or compact license
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Monitor and document patients health status and respond to medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Educate patients on health conditions, medication adherence, and preventive care
- Assist with wound care, IV therapy, and chronic disease management
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
- Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
