Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization LaboratoryJob SummaryProvides direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Monitors hemodynamic status, administers medications, and assists physicians during procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies. Ensures patient safety and comfort before, during, and after the procedure.Education & Experience• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)• Minimum 2 years of critical care, ICU, or cardiac nursing experience (Preferred)Licenses & Certifications• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)• Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification (CVRN-BC) (Preferred)Key Responsibilities• Monitors patients' hemodynamic status, EKG rhythm, and vital signs throughout catheterization procedures.• Administers conscious sedation and procedural medications per physician orders and hospital protocol.• Assists physicians with catheter insertion, contrast administration, and interventional devices.• Provides pre- and post-procedure patient education and monitors for complications such as bleeding or arrhythmia.• Documents procedural details, medications administered, and patient response in the medical record.• Maintains sterile technique and ensures proper functioning of catheterization lab equipment.
