RN, Same Day Surgery (892)

The professional Registered Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Unit Charge RN, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager and the Director of Surgical Services. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents the nursing care of patients including those in the following age groups: infancy, childhood, adolescents, adult and geriatrics. This care will be delivered in accordance with established standards of performance. Participation in quality management, in-service, safety and cost management is ongoing. The nurse is responsible for perioperative care consistent with perioperative nursing standards.
