Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to patients within a correctional healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, treatment, documentation, and coordination of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and monitor patients' health conditions.
- Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and identify changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs.
- Follow facility policies, nursing standards, and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina RN License or applicable eligibility.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous clinical nursing experience required.
- Correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills.
- Ability to work the assigned 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift.
